My Telerian Castle

in the process of writing Blackheart, i realized i needed to move my characters back into the castle. my main reason for having them live somewhere else on the castle grounds was purely practical (for me anyway) - i'd lost the ground plans i had of the castle i originally used in Eldala. not the best reason storywise. the farther along i went in the 2nd draft, the more i realized i had to put them in the place that made the most sense - back in the castle.

thus began my frantic search for the ground plans - again. unfortunately, they'd disappeared. i remembered that i'd taken the plans from a castle book i used for homeschool. i found the book and saw that i'd used an actual castle for my castle. so i looked it up on the internet and this is what i found:

my castle is Conwy Castle, one of the most famous Welsh castles still in existence. oddly enough, i based my fantasy country of Teleria off of Wales.

Conwy Castle was built between 1283 and 1287 as part of a chain of castles that Edward I built to subjugate the Welsh.
